Pro TIp. Some libraries have puzzles and costumes to lend in addition to books. Talk to your librarian to find out if this is a service your library offers.

Quiet Time for Kids.

If your kids have given up nap time and you’ve been struggling through the day with not enough rest or time for chores, Q week is the perfect time to re-introduce and train your kids to have a quiet time. During this time everyone must be in their beds and quiet, but not necessarily asleep. You can set parameters for your kids. Decide if you will allow them to have books in the bed or perhaps one or two favorite toys. As long as they are in the bed and quiet, you will be able to get some much-needed downtime or rest. Play up the Q sound at the beginning of the word QUIET, and talk about the value of rest and quietness.
