Letter O Books for Preschool

Sharing is caring!

When it’s time to introduce a new letter, I recommend you begin with picture books. Picture books are a wonderful opportunity to expose your preschool child to rich language, new worlds, and interesting creatures. Children are captivated by picture books so it’s the perfect way to learn new information like letter sounds. Read these letter O books for preschool to introduce the shape and sounds of O to your student.

Our list of letter O books for preschool includes books for short vowel sound and long vowel sound of o as well as the diphthong ow/ou in owl. If your student hasn’t quite learned the short of the vowel sounds for O, focus on books that cover this skill, as it is usually taught first. When your child is ready for a new sound introduce books with the long vowel sound of o.
